This is what happens when you have baby brain: you become STOOPIT in the kitchen, and pour cold water into a hot Pyrex dish in your oven. With predictable results. *sigh*
My husband saw this and said, "Wow." You have impressed him.The sad thing is that I actually saw someone break a dish thr same way in a dorm kitchen once, and I still managed it.
We actually had to pry up the floor of the oven and use the crevice attachment on the vacuum cleaner to get all the glass out of the bottom of the stove. It was pretty awful.Now when I make that recipe (a loaf of bread where you pour hot water into a pan to create steam in the oven for crustier crust) I use a metal pan.
